I’ve “rescued” an old photograph that appears to be identified as John STOUT which was taken at the William Nims Studio in Fort Edward, NY. On the back of the photograph someone has also written the name Charles L. STOUT of Hopewell, NJ as if this is the person to whom the photograph was gifted. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1860’s or 1870’s with John likely in his 20’s at the time it was taken. I’m hoping to locate someone from this STOUT Family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of his family. If you are a member of this STOUT Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

This photo was taken in or near Goldfield, Nevada. One of the gentlemen in the photo is my great Uncle, Brit (Bert) Murphy Stout from White Oak, Hopkins County, Texas. I believe he is on the far right. I believe one of the other gentlemen to be his close friend, George S. Faust. They worked for the Goldfield and Tonopah Railroad company. The lady in the photo could be Maggie Corning as my Uncle was one of her tenants. Please contact me if you can identify any of the subjects in this photo.

His age is stated in the obituary as 93 and a half years.
