Samuel Altif: Samuel was one of nine children who's father died at 32 during the great depression and he was the second eldest of the nine. Samuel was a self taught accomplished musician he played seven instruments could write and re-arrange music. He was in the musicians union, he played with the son's of the pioneers as well as had his own live radio show in the Lehigh valley on WSAN. He served in world war II in the Alucian Islands as a master Sergeant and ws highly decorated. Unfortunately because of a fire a lot of the military records are gone. He was just going to start on a weekly television show in the late 1940's as a featured guitarist at a time when big bands were popular. He wrote beautiful instrumentals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a supervisor for ornamental iron works as well as a professional musician all at the same time. The late Dr Warren J Wittreich, PhD, Phd high honor graduate of Princeton University and in Who's Who in the world in science and health care heard a few of his tapes and stated the only one he ever heard who could play that good was DJango Reinhardt, Samuel played four part harmony on the guitar and had the smoothest tremolo you had ever heard. He loved his children and grand children very much.
