    Alberta boarded Lusitania as 1st class with her parents Paul and Catherine (Schwaibe) Crompton and siblings Stephen (14) Catherine (10) Romily (9) John (6) Peter (9 months) on May 1, 1915 then a week later the ship was struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat off the coast of Ireland then sank in 18 minutes. Alberta, her parents, siblings and nurse all perished during the sinking.

Alberta boarded Lusitania as saloon (1st class) with her parents and siblings Stephen (14) Catherine (10) Paul (9) John (6) Peter ( 9 months) The ship was struck by a torpedo from a German U-boat and sank off the coast of Ireland. The whole family perished in the sinking.

The family was British by nationality. They boarded Lusitania as 1st class. A survivor reported during the voyage they were the loudest family on board. Alberta with her younger sister Catherine would pull pranks on the passengers. The family was not in panic when they heard the torpedo nor the second explosion. Alberta calmly asked a man to help her adjust her life vest.
