Amy Louiza (Dyer) Campbell of Manteo, Kankakee County, Illinois United States was born circa 1872. She married Manessa Klar on September 14, 1889 in Shelby County. They had a child William George (Franklin) Klar. She would also marry William A Lattore on November 28, 1896. She and John V. Atkins married on May 1, 1898 in Marion, Williamson County. She and William Campbell married on October 15, 1902 in Clay County, and they were married until William's death on September 1, 1920. Amy Campbell died in 1872, and was buried on March 26, 1942 at Manteo State Hospital in Manteno, Kankakee County.

    Amy Louiza Dyer died in 1942. Amy Dyer Campbell murdered her last husband, William Campbell due to a suspicious jealousy of him & her daughter in law Sarah Evelyn Kirby, whom was married to Amy's son, William George Franklin Klar, her only known child, whom was shared with her 1st husband Manassa Klar. She was then convicted & was then confined to Manteno State Hospital where she died. she was buried in Manteo State Hospital cemetery, Manteno, Illinois United States. She was born in 1872. We have no information about Amy's family or relationships. Amy was married four times, to Manassa Klar, William A Lattore, John V. Atkins, & Finally her last husband, William Campbell, Of whom she murdered in a jealous rage. She shot him in the chest, & then took an axe to his head. She attempted to flee, but was caught & arrested, later charged, & sentenced to Manteo state hospital. We know that Amy Louiza Dyer had been residing in Manteo State Hospital in Manteo, Kankakee County, Illinois, United States from not long after the murder of William in 1920 to her death in 1942. William Campbell was 22 when they married, & she was 30 according to documents. Amy was the daughter of William Dyer & Amy Litherland. Marriage dates: Manassa Klar 14 September 1889 Shelbyville Township, Shelby, Illinois, United States ( They had one son 11 December 1892 Xenia, Clay, Illinois, United States ) Son William George Franklin Klar Male Birth 11 December 1892 Death 7 June 1966 His mother Amy went into a jealous rage & accused his stepfather of sneaking around with his wife Sarah Evelyn Kirby ( of which had born 4 grandchildren to Amy's son. ) & having an affair, at which time she wound up murdering his stepfather William Campbell in cold blood. Portrait of Amy Louiza (aka Lula) Dyer. She was born about 1872. Her parents were William Dyer and Amy Litherland. Her marriages were to Monesa Junction Klar, William Lattore, John V. Atkins, and William Campbell (who she murdered). She was sent first to the Peoria State Hospital and later transferred to the Manteno State Hospital. She died and was buried at the Manteno State Hospital on 26 Mar 1942.
