Charlotte Jo (Dyer) Occhipinti was born in September 1938 at Knoxville, TN, and died at age 86 years old on May 12, 2025 at Pensacola, FL.
I was Andy's 2nd & final wife. This site will not let me put in dates of marriage. Lissa was his first wife & they had 2 boys together. Our marriage was 03-07-1986 & it will always be one of the most special days of my life. Andy had a heart of gold & always helped anyone in need. He raised my 3 children as his own; so much that my two girls call him Daddy to this day. Andy loved the outdoors. Fishing & treasure hunting were his favorite pastimes. He grew up poor with his 5 siblings & parents in a one room house with no plumbing in Blanco, TX. It was there he learned at an early age to hunt for squirrel, rabbit, anything to help with bringing food into the home. For a time, Andy took care of his grandmother (at age 8) and she taught him how to cook. He could cook better than anyone I knew & completely from scratch. He taught me everything I now know.
Andy's long blonde hair, mustache & extremely athletic build caused many people to call him by the nickname "Hulk" after the wrestler Hulk Hogan. Andy's biceps measured at 21 3/4". He was very muscular.
I never saw a child who did not love Andy & vise versa. He would have unyielding patience when teaching one to "cast a line" and enjoyed spoiling all children with a treat or a dollar bill.
God received an angel on that Feb 15th. He wasn't perfect, but he was & still is the love of my life.

Professional Football Player. Born Kenneth James Dyer, he attended Ann Arbor High School in Michigan and played collegiate football at Arizona State University. While with the Sun Devils, he achieved Academic All-American honors twice and led the team in pass-receiving yards in 1966. For parts of three seasons (1968, 1970 to 1971), he played at the defensive back and wide receiver positions in the National Football League with the San Diego Chargers and Cincinnati Bengals. Selected by San Diego during the 4th round of the 1968 NFL Draft, he appeared in 27 career games. On October 3, 1971 during a game with Cincinnati against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field, Dyer suffered a broken neck while attempting to tackle running back John Brockington. The injury ended his playing career and left him with permanent disabilities. Following his football career, he worked in the dry cleaning industry in Arizona.
