Bertha (Barringer) Van Kleeck was born on April 16, 1874 in Town of Rochester, Ulster County, New York United States to Freeman Swartout Barringer and Elnora (Kerr) Barringer. She married Abram Van Kleeck on March 26, 1891, and they were married until Bertha's death on April 5, 1953. She had children Gordon Van Kleeck, Roxy (Van Kleeck) Yerry, Everett Van Kleeck, Vera Mae (Van Kleeck) Winne, Freeman B. Van Kleeck, Elta Ann (Van Kleeck) Rifenburg, and Dorothy Emily (Van Kleeck) Smith. Bertha Van Kleeck was buried at Tongore Cemetery in Olivebridge.

    Mrs. Bertha B. Van Kleeck Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha B. Van Kleeck of 15 Apple street were held Wednesday afternoon at the W. N. Conner Funeral Home, Inc., with the Rev. Arthur E. Oudemool, pastor of the First Dutch Church, officiating. Floral tributes were many and beautiful. The services were largely attended by her many relatives and friends. Bearers were Edward Smith, Warren Van Kleeck, Robert Rifenburg, Ronald Rifenburg, Roger Winne and Burt Winne, Jr., all grandsons of the deceased. Burial was in Tongore Cemetery, Olive Bridge. ============================ Kingston Daily Freeman Monday Evening, April 6, 1953, page 2 (two notices on same page) VAN KLEECK -- In this city April 5, 1953, Bertha B. Van Kleeck, daughter of the late Freeman and Eleanor (sic.) Barringer; wife of Abram Van Kleeck; mother of Mrs. Roxy Yerry, Mrs. Vera Winne, Mrs. Elta Rifenburg, Mrs. Dorothy Smith, Gordon, Everett and Freeman Van Kleeck; sister of Mrs. Mabel Nichols, Mrs. Henry Wells, Mrs. George Leonard, mrs. Lester Personeus, Richard and George Barringer. Funeral services from the W. N. Conner Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday, April 9, 1953, at 2 p. m. Interment in Tongore Cemetery. ----------------------------- Bertha B. Van Kleeck Bertha B. Van Kleek of 15 Apple street died Sunday night in this city. She had been a resident of the city for many years. Surviving is her husband, Abram Van Kleeck of this city; four daughters, Mrs. Roxy Yerry of Shandaken, Mrs. Vera Winne of Mt. Tremper, Mrs. Elta Rifenburg and Mrs. Dorothy Smith of Kingston; three sons, Gordon of Kingston, Everett of town of Ulster and Freeman of New Smyrna, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Nichols, Mrs. George Leonard of Kingston, Mrs. Henry Wells of Woodstock, Mrs. Lester Personeus of Suffern; two brothers, Richard Barringer of Pine Grove and George Barringer of Kingston. Funeral services will be held from the W. N. Conner Funeral Home, Inc., Wednesday at 2 p. m. Burial will be in Tongore Cemetery
