This is a picture of James Bryant Cox (1837-1921) and his wife Permela Ann Shane Cox (1836-1925) They were married in Limestone Co.,Al on 1/14/1855. Both are buried in the Liberty Cemetery in Rogersville, Al.
James was a veteran of the Civil War and received the Southern Cross of Honor. Children were Hannah, Alice, Cora, Pearl, James Robert, Willie, Oscar,Clarence and Peter Cox.
