My grandfather, James Wiley Williams, worked as a school teacher before going to work as a carpenter at the Railroad. He left teaching in 1914 and went to work for the Railroad.

I have since found the names of my great grandparents. My great grandfather was William Preston Williams born 1826 in Virginia.
He married Manerva C. Gower and they lived in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.

My brother Jimmie
James Charles Williams was born 10/12/1944 in Kansas City Missouri. Father moved Mother and their two sons back to Drum, Missouri so he could find a new home for the family in St. Louis. While living in the home of Millard and wife Nancy Scott Mabrey, Jim reached up and pulled a pan of boiling water down on him. He was severely burnt from his chin down his entire chest. The hospital was unable to help him and sent him back home to die. An old woman locals called Granny Huffman came down to the farm bringing with her a slimy substance she skimmed off the lid of her butter churn. She removed the hospital wrappings and smeared the milky stuff all over Jimmie's burns. She returned almost every day to treat his burns. Obviously, he recovered and turned out to be a great brother!!

The two small boys are Johnny Williams Jr. and brother, Jimmy. The baby being held by the older girl is probably baby Richard Houston Williams.

Do you know these three children with my three brothers?
