He also married Jane Tranel. He married Julia Ann Denton, and they had children Stephen Milford Childers and William D. Childers. James Childers died at age 89 years old on July 19, 1935 in Hurst, Williamson County, and was buried in July 1935 at Hargis Cemetery in Diswood, Alexander County.

James F. "Jim" Childers was born April 11, 1848 in Arkansas and died July 19, 1935 in Illinois. His middle name is sometimes listed as, "Frank." He was the son of Stephen B. Childress/Childers and Rebecca Emeline "Jane" (McClusky) Childers White. He married Julia Ann Denton on February 22, 1877 in Scott County, Missouri. He married Jane Tranel on February 01, 1891 at the home of Samuel Tranel in Alexander County, Illinois. He later married Alice Elizabeth "Lizzie" Medlock Hubbard on October 23, 1898. Lizzie had a son, Claude Hubbard, from a previous marriage.

Since I CAN'T EDIT my own picture here that I uploaded in the first place, I would like to make a correction on the information above. Jim's father was Stephen Childres/Childers and very well could have been named Andrew Stephen. On all census information, however, his father is listed as, Stephen.
