John Darby Taylor, 89, Venice, died Feb. 26, 2006. He was born Aug. 16, 1916, in St. Louis and came to Venice in 1980 from South field, Mich. He was vice president of sales for McCord Heat Transfer Division of Ex-Cello Corp. and was a member of Epiphany Cathedral. He was an Army veteran of World War II who served in the Pacific Theatre and retired as a captain. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Merle; a brother, F. Roeder of Venice; and sisters Elise J. Moor of St. Ann, Mo., and Dorothy Gerard of Venice. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Epiphany Cathedral. Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory, Venice Chapel, is in charge.
