During the sinking Bess Allison went all over the ship looking for her infant son (not knowing he was safe in a lifeboat). Hudson put his wife and daughter in the lifeboat but Bess stepped out and grabbed Lorraine and stated she would not leave the ship until she finds her baby, nor will she parted from her daughter. The Allison family was last seen standing on the promendade deck. Lorraine Allison became the only 1st/2nd class child to die on the Titanic.
