    New Castle News Monday - January 16, 1984 Slippery Rock - Mrs. Eleanor Book McBride, 84, of West Cooper Street, died at 10:25 p.m., Jan. 15, 1984, in Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Grove City following an extened illness. She was born July 10, 1899, in Plain Grove to Lee M. and Sarah Davis Book. She was married to Ralph Allison McBride on April 10, 1920. He preceeded her in death on April 21, 1983. Mrs. McBride was a member of the Zion Baptist Church of Worth Twp., in Slippery Rock. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Women's Missionary Society of the church. Mrs. McBride is survived by two sons, James Harold of Butler and Ralph Book McBride of North Manchester, Ind; two daughters, Mrs. Clark (Evelyn) M. Knox of Slippery Rock and Mrs. Jack (Jean) Quinn of Elderton, Pa., one brother, Harry D. of Eustis, Fla.; and 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was also preceeded in death by two brothers, Herbert E. Book and Paul W. Book. Friends will be received from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow at the Smith Funeral Home in Slippery Rock. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Carl Keefer of Zion Baptist Church of Worth Twp. Internment will be in Slippery Rock Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Slippery Rock Rescue Squad or the Zion Baptist Church of Slippery Rock RD 3.
