    Peter Crompton board the Lusitania as 1st class with his parents and older siblings. On May 7, 1915 the ship was struck by a torpedo from a German submarine in the Mid-Atlantic. Paul Crompton was last seen wandering on the decks with his children. The whole family perished. Peter age 9 months was recovered along with his brother John age 6 and Stephen age 14.
