1st Sgt. George Leidy Hess

While serving with the 72nd PA, Sgt. Hess was killed at the Battle of Gettysburg on 3 July 1863. His funeral was held from the home of his parents (Peter Hess & Maria Leidy Hess) in Philadelphia, PA.
