Alanson McCulley, b. 31 Oct 1857 Hopkins, KY d. 29 Nov 1921 Pike Co, MS. He was the son of Joseph Scott McCulley and Jane Frances Cox McCulley. He married Ilenah Deborah Coffman, daughter of Benjamin C. Coffman and Catherine Ann Slaton on 17 Sep 1879 in Dixon Co, KY. Alanson & Ilenah were the parents of two sons and three daughters: Nellie Mae, Lillie Katherine, Joseph Coffman, Willie Mae, and Jesse McCulley. He grew tobacco and owned one of the richist orchards in Hopkins Co.
