Alanson McCulley
Alanson McCulley, b. 31 Oct 1857 Hopkins, KY d. 29 Nov 1921 Pike Co, MS. He was the son of Joseph Scott McCulley and Jane Frances Cox McCulley. He married Ilenah Deborah Coffman, daughter of Benjamin C. Coffman and Catherine Ann Slaton on 17 Sep 1879 in Dixon Co, KY. Alanson & Ilenah were the parents of two sons and three daughters: Nellie Mae, Lillie Katherine, Joseph Coffman, Willie Mae, and Jesse McCulley. He grew tobacco and owned one of the richist orchards in Hopkins Co.

My 3rd great-grand parents, Joseph Scott McCulley and Jane Frances Cox McCulley. They were born in Virgina and migrated to Hopkins Co, KY in their youth with their parents. In 1952 he and his future brother-in-law, John Cox, hopped a flatboat to New Orleans and went to California to seek their fortune in the Gold Rush. He married Jane on 14 Jan 1857 in Hopkins Co, KY. They were the parents of two sons: Alanson and Ernest McCulley. Alanson became a farmer and merchant, Ernest became a scholar.

William Voelp
William Voelp, son of William Voelp and Elise Trautman. He was the brother of Martin William Henry Voelp. When their parents died he went to live with his brother Martin. He married Anna Kieffer and had two sons, Charles W. and Edward R. Voelp.

Theodore Ford Holmes
My great-grandfather, Theodore Ford Holmes, b. 13 March 1894 in Foxworth, Marion Co, MS d. 13 June 1974 in McComb, Pike Co, MS. He was the son of William David Holmes and Nancy Fidelia Boeme and the husband of Mary Jane Dunaway. He was the father of Eloise, T.J. (Theodore Julian) and Ralph Holmes. He had four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren before his death. He worked as a car repair machinist for the Illinois Central Railroad and retired after a career with the railroad. He developed Parkinson's Disease, probably an occupational hazzard, yet still lived to an advanced age.

Katherine 'Kate' Wagner
This is a photo of my great grandmother c1930. The 1920 & 1930 census shows her living with her son in the Bronx, New York City. An interesting note, she had appendicitis at age 75 and lived through the surgery. She died in 1939.
