Carrie Bell Reed Walsh (Mrs Thomas F. Walsh) in 1904.
Thomas F. Walsh emigrated from Ireland and through his own efforts created an empire. He discovered one of the largest gold mines in America. He gave his daughter, Evalyn Walsh McLean the Hope Diamond as a wedding present.
Carrie Bell Reed Walsh met Thomas when she was a school teacher in Leadville Colorado (she was from Wisconsin). They had two children, one of whom (a son) died in a car crash.
