Civil War Certificate of Disability for Discharge
This is the Certificate of Disability For Discharge for my gg grandfather, James S. Riley. Born in Leitrim, Ireland. Died Aug. 23, 1922 in Lowell, Massachusetts.
James signed up in the army twice. 1861 and 1863. He was wounded severly and suffered for many years after the war. He came to Lowell, Massachusetts with his parents: John Riley and Mary Gaffney. Siblings: Ann, Michael and John.
James married Margaret A. Donahoe, born in Lowell and the daughter of Patrick Donahoe and Bridget Fitzpatrick, both of Leitrim, Ireland.
