David Crockett Garner was born to Melinda Frances Vest and an unknown Mr. Collins in 1876, Giles Co., VA. Later, Melinda married and her husband Joseph Garner gave little David his last name. David was a hotel and tavern keeper in Iaeger, McDowell Co., WV. This may be a wedding portrait (married Amanda Cline in 1897, Davy, WV).
