She married Earl Edward Smith on June 12, 1930 at Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Highland, Ulster County, NY, and they were married until Earl's death on May 22, 1982. She had a child Patricia Ellen Smith. Dorothy Smith died at age 100 years old on March 31, 2010 in Kingston, Ulster County, NY, and was buried at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
