Ellis Miller, carving birds as a hobby.

Ellis' hobby began when he decided to create his own monopoly set. He began making the monopoly pieces (tea kettle, flat iron, locomotive, hat, and shoe) and found that he enjoyed the pastime. This lead to carving birds - his first one was a duck.

Using just a jackknife and Audubon pictures, he created the birds seen in the picture - and many more. I bet that these are collectibles now.
