Fanny May Magill nee Moorhouse was the daughter of William Septimus de Septimo Moorhouse who was born in Knottingley, West Yorkshire. Her husband was also known as "Bill" and they lived in Hay for a number of years while he was a Cobb and Co coach driver. He also had some farming land around Hay but the droughts caused financial hardship and they moved to Sydney.
