This is my family! The little boy on the far right was my grandfather Charles Scanlan. Until just today I've never seen a picture of my grandfather who passed away many years ago when I was only 9 or 10 years old. I've often thought how great it would be to have a picture of him but never would have imagined finding this picture of him and his siblings and parents. What a wonderful blessing this photo is !
Elva Beryl Scanlan (Bartlett) was my great grandmother (the girl in the picture, Beryl was my grandmother). I'm confused about something. It is our understanding in my family that Charles died at 16 in WWII. My great grandma lived with us for a couple years and she cried every night talking about it. Are you sure you aren't mistaken?? Perhaps you are looking for a different Charles Scanlan.
