Amelia Curtiss was born on 15 October 1869. She was the daughter of Carl Schumann and Mary Magdelena Garnier. She married Norman Curtiss and had 5 children - one was Ruth Jeannette wife of Janes Aaron Mills, Amelia died on 14 October 1907 and was buried in the Bethel Cemetery, Alezandria, Virginia on 7 November 1907.
