Great Grandfather Isaac Newton Barrs
Great Grandfather Isaac Newton Barrs (Al Barrs [contact link]) born September 15, 1849 in Lowndes County Georgia, married to Mary Elizabeth Boyett on January 29, 1873 and died on October 12, 1933. Parents were James C. Barrs and Martha Elizabeth Land-Barrs. He build a General Store in Day in 1904, owned The Day House pioneer hotel in Day, belonged to the Masonic Lodge of Day and built two large homes in Day and one south of Brewer Lake. Day sits on the east bank of Brewer Lake. He died in 1933 in Day.
