His parents were Stephen and Mary (Hampshire)Tusler, natives of England
When he was 10, he came with his parents to Wisconsin, across country in a wagon.
He was a stockman and rancher near Sidney, Nebraska and later near Miles City, Montana where a railroad station and school were named after him.
He Died in 1898 in St. Paul, Minnesota
Buried in the Tusler family plot in Riverside Cemetery, Stoughton, Wisconsin
