Mary grew up on Indian Creek, Tn, and the family moved to Izard (now Stone) Co., Ar, in 1845. She brought with her a daughter Elsura Hinkle b. 24 Dec. 1821, who lived with Mary and her Hinkle grandparents on Rocky Bayou 6 miles east of Mn. View. (Elsura married Sion T. "Sipe" MARTIN, and they had a daughter, Frances E. Martin b: 1860.)
