Horatio Nelson Gage
Painting of Horatio Nelson Gage - known as NELSON
Moved to KS by 1860 where he raised prize horses. Moved to Colorado where he furnished horses for the Civil War. In 1876 he went to Montana and homesteaded close to where Custer's last stand took place. He died in 1878 of a massive heart attack.
