Isma Martin 1897
Isma Martin, who was convicted of grand larceny for accepting $38.00 from a friend to purchase a bicycle, and then keeping the money for her own use. She had done this several times and was accused of running a variety of confidence schemes.
It looks as if her lips and nose are swollen - perhaps punched in the face in the process of being arrested?
