James M. Pixley (1837-1914)
(I believe this to be a picture of James M. Pixley-but needs to be confirmed.) My great-great grandfather was born in Vermont and moved to Wisconsin where he raised his grandson, my grandfather Leroy Arthur Pixley. He served in the Civil War in the 2nd Cavalry Vermont Light Cavalry-enlisting in 1862 and was wounded and suffered serious illness during the conflict in Louisiana.
