Photo of Leonard Boyers, Boyer, Bowyers, Bowyer. Husband of Nancy Jane Grimes, 1st wife and Catherine Grimes, 2nd wife. Son of Leonard Boyers Sr., 1758 - 1815, mother unknown. Brother of Anthony and Nancy Boyers. Resided in Pendleton County and Gilmer County, WV. My line traced to Ellen Virginia Bowyer,1840 - 1898, Daughter of Leonard and Nancy Jane. Leonard Sr was 1st married to a Catherine Trout married 1782 in Stephen City, VA. One child Jacob Boyers, born Dec. 1782 who married an Elizabeth Lauck and settled in Morgantown, WV. Buried there. Leonard abandoned her right after his birth and moved into western Virginia, remarried second wife unknown, and had the 3 children, Leonard, Nancy, and Anthony. Leonard Sr. Will 1815 lists only the 3 children of 2nd marriage.
