Picture was taken in 1906 by D.N. Clauser, Havana, Il photographer. I believe the occasion was a family reunion. Lucinda Kirby Watkins lived to be 98, dying in 1907, in Atterbury, Menard County, Il.
Did any members of this family move to Alabama? I have members of my Watkins family that married into the Cannon and Davis families in Fayette and Tuscaloosa Co. Al.
Temperance was Lucinda's daughter,Sarah was Temperance's daughter, Mary Jane was Sarah's daughter, Bessie was Mary Jane's daughter and Baby Lloyd was Bessie's son.
This is to Kathy Dalton - the picture was certainly taken in Illinois - perhaps in Kilbourne, Illinois. My records show that Mary Jane Davis was married on 3/25/1885 to Joshua Showalter (b 10/28/1859, d 9/14/1937 in Kilbourne, Illinois).
