Man and woman (Photo booth photo?)

This was pasted into my mother's Photo Album On the back I can read The (in pen) Eddings marry 1-24-1942(in pencil)" Seems to be more, but I can not read it. The pic may have been taken in PA or New York.

Does anyone recognize the name or the people? I would like to return this picture to a family member if it can be identified.
