Martha Lewis Holmes 80th Birthday
This is my mother, Martha Lewis Holmes, on her 80th birthday in 1957. My folks had left Hammonton when they closed the company town down to dredge it up for the Yuba Consolidated Goldfields. My brother-in-law moved them to a house outside of Yuba City. Mama didn't like it being so far away from town. My father had a big garden and tool shed which he enjoyed.
