Mary Polly Holt b Nov 24, 1816, KY or NC. Died March 30, 1899 buried in Omo Strunk Cemetery, Douglas Co., MO. She may be daughter of Francis Holt & Sarah Denney. She died as Mary Strunk and is buried in Omo Strunk Cemetery, Norwood, Mo. Tombstone reads: Mary Strunk b November 24,1816, died March 30, 1899. Mary married Jackson Strunk in Whitley Co., KY August 23, 1839. Mary & Jackson Strunk's children were: Demcy Strunk, Noah Strunk, General Jackson Strunk, Armeldy Strunk (married Francis Marion Vanover), Artimissey Strunk (married George Sellars), Mahulda/Mahydah Strunk (married Frank Sellars, a brother to George Sellars). Mary had my grandfather William Marion Holt April 7, 1837. His father's surname was Coffey. No one seems to have info on Jackson Strunk after beginning of Civil War. Mary & her children, all but Mahulda, moved to Norwood, MO. about 1878 where she shared homes of hr children.

Mary Polly Holt Strunk was my great grandmother.Her son William Marion Holt was born Apr 7, 1837 in Whitley Co., KY. Marion's father surname was Coffey. This was prior to Mary's marriage to Jackson Strunk in Whitley Co., KY Aug 23, 1839. She and Jackson had 6 children.

Hello. I am not a Strunk or Holt ancestor BUT thought that you might be interested in knowing this picture of Mary is being used on other trees as "their" ancestor.
