This picture shows the children of John Henry Miller (1873 - 1929) and Annie Lee Houston Rich Miller (1887 - 1943). From left to right: Vernon Houston Miller (1919 - 2002), Charles Edward Miller, my father (1924 - 1998), Gertrude Lee Miller [Mrs. James Peter Guzzy] (1920 - 2001), and Leonard
Earl "Ike" Miller (1922 - 1969.) The children were placed in the Masonic Home following their father's death. John Henry was originally from Prince Edward County, VA and Annie Lee was originally from Caroline County, VA. They were married and reared their children in Richmond, Virginia.
Mr. Miller was a divorcee with two sons (Henry Waverly Miller and Fulmer Bright Miller) when he married the widowed Mrs. Rich who already had five children.
