Mrs. James M. (Sarah A. Marks) Michael (4 Feb 1842-14 July 1904)
I am grateful to Susan Carl for locating this picture in the Wyandotte County Museum, Bonner Springs, Kansas, and photographing it. Sarah A. (Marks) Michael was the daughter of Thomas W. and Elizabeth Frances (Bragg) Marks and the second wife of James M. Michael. They married in Ohio on 20 Nov 1862 and moved to Missouri in 1865, and later to Kansas. She died in 1904 of burns she suffered when a hen house she was fumigating blew up. See my Michael site on www.rootsweb.com, bcarl 91, for copies of the news accounts. She is buried with James in the Edwardsville Cemetery, Edwardsville, Wyandotte County, Kansas.
Date & Place: in Wyandotte County Museum, Wyandotte, Kansas USA
