Pleasant 'Lee' Parsley
This is a picture Pleasant "Lee" "P.L." Parsley in about the 1920's. He was born in 1855 in Laurel County, Kentucky and died in 1932. He is buried in Wyatt's Chapel cemetery. He was the son of Mary "Polly" (May) Parsley. His father suppose to be William H. Parsley but it seems William was only the father of the first born child because he left Mary in 1849 (or very early 1850) because he's not living with her in the 1850 census.
Lee married Margaret "Margret" Ray. They lived in both Harlan and Laurel Counties in Kentucky. They had several children. His son, Charlie Parsley (born in 1894) married Ruth Bowling.
This picture originally has Margaret (Ray) Parsley in the photo with Pleasant Parsley but she appears too light in my photo copy of the picture. I would like to get a better copy.
