Photo Details

This Prohibition art is offensive in many ways now and I don't know what it was trying to say - but it is, like any art, provocative. It looks like 3 men dressed in costumes, making a statement - do you know what that statement is? Is it pro Prohibition or anti Prohibition? Done sometime between 1910 and 1920. Prohibition became law in the United States in 1919.

Lorna Hardin Looking at another photo - actually a political cartoon - in this assortment of Prohibition images ... The cartoon shows "Demon Rum" leaving due to Prohibition which issues in a figure dressed like a goat with Drug Addiction" label. Not sure of course but my guess is that the figures in this photo are showing that same message.
