I am grateful to Susan Carl who located this picture in the Wyandotte County Museum, Bonner Springs, Kansas, and photographed it. James M. Michael (10 Feb 1830-13 July 1916), was born in Ohio. He was the son of Daniel R. Michael, b May 1799, and Margaret Elizabeth Floyd, b abt 1794 in KY. His siblings were William, b 1820 in VA; Paul, b 1822 in VA; David, b 1824 in VA; Sarah, b 1834, and Catherine, b 1838. James married twice. His first wife whom he married in Nobel County, Ohio on 26 June 1851, was Catherine McPeek,the daughter of Daniel R. and Elizabeth McPeek. They had these children: Mary, Rosanna, Addison, and Martha. Catherine died 15 Feb 1859. His second wife was Sarah A Marks Michael (4 Feb 1842-14 July 1904) whom he married in Ohio on 20 November 1862. They had these children: Eva, Daniel, David, Ulysses, Frances, James, and Monema. They moved to Missouri in 1865. James was a minister, dry goods store owner, postmaster, and farmer. He died in Wyandotte, Kansas.
