Rev.James Turner - 1808-1883
James, was born in Pendleton County, Kentucky 10/08/1808 to Thomas and Elizabeth Turner.
In 1840 he began his ministry in Trenton, Missouri at the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where he was pastor for 24 years. He supporoted his family by farming.
He was married to Jane Nordyke and they
had 14 children.
