Some Children of John Carl & Lydia McCumber of OH
John Arthello or Orthello Carl was born 23 of October 1870 to Nathan S. Carl and Mary E. Hale Mohler. He married Lydia A. McCumber, born 10 April 1879, on 26 January 1896 in Bedford Twp, Meigs Co, Ohio and they had six children, four of whom are found here. Left to right: Ralph Edgar Carl (spouse of Sadie Harrison), Evelyn Louise (Carl) Harrison, Flora Faye (Carl) Pratt, Mabel Estella (Carl) Brickles and her husband Roy Brickles. A brother, Oliver "Dale" Carl, had died in an auto accident in 1956. His mother was with him and she died a month or so later in 1956 due to her injuries. Another child, Ella Leo Carl, was born 25 July 1909 and died about January 1911. John died in April 1951 and is buried at the Carleton Cemetery, Bedford Twp, Miegs Co, Ohio under the name John A. Carl.
