This is the Hat Box millinery shop in 1915, where my mother, Violet (Lewis) Teed, worked as a young lady for ten years or more. She was a hat trimmer. The location of the shop not offered by the submitter.

In those early days men and boys usually wore hats outdoors daily. Most people did. This is a store for gentlemen's hats and likely carried hats for rugged rural settings (Hints are the log structure and bearskin rug).
