Mary McCarthy (born 1856) in Ireland and Thomas McDonald (born approx 1851 in Ireland) were married in Armidale NSW on October 27 1874. Nearly one hundred and fifty years after their births they both have decendants living today that are practically their doubles!! They were the parents of some 9 children and the first generation australians of six, going on seven generations of Australians too numerous to count and many unrecorded on our family tree. At the time of thier marriage Mary was listed as a servant and Thomas as a groom.
