Ulysses S. Grant
General Ulysses S. Grant ( April 27th 1822 – July 23th 1885), a West Point graduate, is probably most remembered as the general who ended the U.S. Civil War war with the Confederate States of America. He served two terms as President of the United States from 1869 through 1877 in which much of his efforts were focused on the reconstruction of the United States.
