I have found new information on this picture,
on a Rollins site they have the same picture
and they say it is Thomas Jefferson Rollins
from Paulding Co GA and TX. This could be, as
he would be my ggm Nancy Rollins Parker's brother. My grandmother was Laura Rollins Parker Pickett married to James Albert Pickett,
the grandson of Malachi.Thomas Jefferson Rollins was the uncle or Laura Parker Pickett.

We think that this is Malachia Pickett son of Micajah Pickett from Rutherford NC, Malachia moved to GA from Greenville co SC and Rutherford co NC in the 1830. He owned the land where the Pickett.s Mill Civil War Site and now State Park is located in Paulding CO GA. This site was called the Hell Hole. Malachi mother was Susanna Thompson Johns from Rutherford NC. Malachi was born in Rutherford Co NC in 1803 - died 1886 in Dallas Paulding Co GA.
1.Henry Pickett b1641 Eng and Sarah Southgate, his parents were William Pickett II 1600-1684 Eng and Anne Sanford abt 1630-1690. Henry,s siblings were James Sanford Pickett b1655, Nicholas 1656-1692, George 1658-1692.
Malachia Pickett 1801/1886 B NC, married to Mary Wesson app: B1803/1885 (her last name Wesson ? found on church of jesus christ latter day saints site).
Children:
all four sons fought in Civil War.

Pickett, an old and highly respected citizen of this county which occurred at his residence about
five miles North of Dallas thursday night. He was buried at New Hope today (Friday).
