Ella Day (Thomas) Riggins of Olney, Young County, TX was born on February 23, 1893. She was the parent of Ida Mae Riggins, and Howard Felix Riggins. Ella's partner was E. D. Riggins, and they had children Ida Mae Riggins, Howard Felix Riggins, Harrell Thomas Riggins, Dorothy Jane Riggins, Doyle Edward Riggins, Cagle David Riggins, Floetta Virginia Riggins, Mildred Oneta Riggins, and Joe Bob Riggins. Ella Riggins died at age 83 years old in November 1976.

E. D. was my mother's father. My memories of him are when he lived in Olney, TX. He always wore overalls. He had a ringer washing machine for a long time. He made his own sausage and I've never tasted any like it anywhere. It was very good. We visited him and Grandma at least once a year. They lived 350 miles away. They had a chihuahua named Ginger.
