Wesley was born April 23, 1895 at Black Creek, WI. Raise on the farm, he worked until entering the military during W.W. I. He was stationed at Camp Hancock in Georgia and was scheduled to be transferred overseas in the European conflict. Two weeks prior to his departure date, the Armistice was signed and he was discharged. Returning home, he worked on the farm, as a silo builder, and in the logging camps as well as other jobs. He met Fern Tackman aboard a train on the way to the logging camp, and they were later married on September 7, 1927. They raised two children, Dean Charles and David Wesley. Wesley passed away December 19, 1927 and is buried in Appleton. Son David passed away September 29, 1981.
