Jeanne Morrison Hello Jameyson...what a wonderful Scottish name you have! the information that I have concerning the Brays is that when they came to America, before the Revolutionary War, my ex-husbands family changed their name from Bray to Broy, because of the prejudice in America against the Irish (makes sense - most of America back then was settled by the English). The most documented information I have is that William Montgomery Broy was born in Pine Forge, Shenandoah County, Virginia in 1778. His father was John Broy. I have not yet been able to find if this is the immigrant John Bray/Broy from Ireland. William Montogomery's Broy's son, William Jr., moved to Clark County Indiana some time after 1818. that is where the family has lived since. I just did a quick on-line search, and will e-mail the information that I found.
