My goal is to find the gravesite of Margaret B Fogle Lanham. This is my grandmother. My father and his siblings have not seen her since they were children. I am hoping her gravesite can be found so that they may go and say goodbye to her. She left them in the 1930's. She was born about 1900 in Kentucky and is said to have died in 1942 in Ohio or Kentucky. Her parents were Lee Fogle and Nancy Gray both from Pendleton County Kentucky. Her siblings are: Goldia F Fogle DOB 1906, Anna May "Roxie" Fogle DOB 1908, Jasper Isaac Fogle DOB 1909 and Andrew Fogle DOB 1911. Margaret married Wilmer A "Jack" Lanham about 1920. He died in 1976 in Ohio. They had four children: Lee Lewis Lanham DOB/D 1921, Harry James Lanham DOB 1923, Blanch Marie Lanham DOB 1925 and Curtis Hubert Lanham DOB 1929. The children said they stayed with Margaret on a tobacco farm in Kentucky for a short time. The farmer could be a relative. The farm was on a riverbank. We have talked about closure for the children, the time is getting near for them as they are all near 80 years old. I hope someone has a small piece of infomation that will help them find their mother.

Sanford Oley Lanham married Ruby Margaret Ramsey.

I am on a mission. A life's mission. About 4 or 5 years ago, my Dad and I were talking and we got to talking of his parents, who are now deceased. He told me that when he was just 10 years old, his father got sick. During the end of his illness, he was hospitalized, for what Dad says was, about 3 months. Then, just three days before Dads 11th birthday, his father died. His mother, not wanting them to forget their father, took each child to the coffin, one at a time, to say goodbye to their father. My Dad says he will never forget the person in the coffin, but it sure wasnt his Daddy. That man was an old man, who was skinny and had white hair. Dad's father was just the opposite of that. You see, during those three months at the hospital, Sanford went through lots of hard times and lost alot of weight. Eventually dying of some kind of Leukemia. My Dad just wants a picture of his father, before he got sick. He doesnt remember what his father actually looked like. Noone in the family has a picture of him and I have been looking for over 4 years now, for one. My Father is getting older and sicker by the day. I pray that one day I can show him what his father looked like. He asked me one day..."If I get in Heaven, do you think I will know who my Dad is?" What could I say? I just closed my eyes and told him that his heart will tell him who his Daddy is. Can you help me find a picture of this man? I am willing to pay for any charges!!
